The example’s answers

Alexandre earns $145,000 a year. His TFSA ($110,000) and RRSP ($180,000) are full, he has $40,000 in a non-registered account, sets aside $2,000 a month and pays $2,200 a month on his mortgage. Worked out by the Huard & Co engine under 2026 rules, from these answers.

What Plus does for you: Build

Where each dollar goes once your accounts are full, what your fees cost in years, your financial independence date, and what to do with a raise, a bonus or a tax refund.

  1. What your fees cost, in years

The same plan at two fee levels: the gap is counted in years of work, not in fractions of a percent.

What fees cost, in yearsSample household
    • 0.25% feesage 50
    • 2% feesage 53

3 more years of work with 2% fees

2026 rules, with official sources in every calculation.

  2. Your choices side by side

A four-day week, a sabbatical, RRSP first or TFSA first: each scenario next to your plan, with when you could retire, and lifetime tax.

Side by side: four days a week from 55 would leave them $368,000 less at 96, for $108,000 less tax. Fictional example: Priya and Daniel, Mississauga
  3. Your room, watched

At your monthly check-in, your TFSA, RRSP and is tracked, with an alert before any over-contribution, and the next dollar goes where it pays the most.

Your questions

My accounts are full. What does Plus do for me?

It shows you where the next dollar goes: non-registered, the mortgage, a spousal RRSP, and in what order. And it compares your scenarios all the way to your financial independence date.

How are fees counted?

The same plan is run twice, at 2% and at 0.25% a year: the gap is the age you could retire and what would be left at the end. Plus doesn’t change your investments and never names a product.

A raise, a bonus, a tax refund: where should the money go?

The plan puts it in the order that pays you the most: costly debt, grants, RRSP or TFSA room, with the dollar effect of each step.

Is my data protected?

Without an account, everything stays in your browser. With one, your plan is encrypted. No tracking without your consent.
